Thea Plant Co
Answers Needed

Thanks for your last round of answers. The Plant Finder quiz is live on the homepage, and every plant with care info now shows whether it's pet-safe. Below is everything I still need, including the duplicate list and the loyalty questions I emailed earlier.

Your answers save in this browser as you go, so no need to finish in one sitting. Switching devices? Use "Email me a link" at the bottom. Skip anything you don't know yet and send what you have.

1. Duplicate Products

Same name, different SKU. Pick one to keep; the other gets hidden, not deleted. If they're really two different products, choose "They're different" and I'll rename one.

A: SKU 2028238, $29.50, not on the website, 0 in stock
B: SKU 5257515, $39.50, draft, 0 in stock
Different prices, so these might be two different plants.

A: SKU 9913693, $9.95, not on the website, 0 in stock
B: SKU 1057851, $9.95, on the website, 13 in stock
I suggest keeping B.

A: SKU P592077, $39.79, on the website, 1 in stock
B: SKU 7447493, $39.95, not on the website, 0 in stock
I suggest keeping A.

A: SKU 1140961, $37.95, not on the website, 0 in stock
B: SKU 9791233, $36.95, on the website, 3 in stock
I suggest keeping B.

A: SKU 376524P, $35, has a photo, 0 in stock
B: SKU A112364, $35, no photo, 0 in stock
Neither is on the website. I suggest keeping A.

A: SKU 310569W, $35, no photo, 0 in stock
B: SKU 896212X, $35, has a photo, 0 in stock
Neither is on the website. I suggest keeping B.

2. Shipping

The last big piece before the site can take shipped orders.

How it works: at checkout, Shopify shows the options you set up and what each costs. You pick the prices.

Where: lower 48 states only. Already set up.

Checkout options: (1) in-store pickup, free; (2) Nash local delivery for nearby addresses, with its own fee; (3) shipping for everyone else. This section is #3.

Two ways to price it:

  • Flat rate: one price per order, whatever's in the cart. Simplest for customers.
  • By order total: tiers, like one price for $0-$50 and another for $50-$100. Good when bigger orders cost more to pack.

Live USPS/UPS rates need a weight on every product, and none have one yet. Flat or order-total works right away. You can also offer two speeds, like Standard and Express.

Many plant shops only ship Monday to Wednesday so plants don't sit in a carrier warehouse over the weekend.

Your current exchange policy assumes customers can come back to the shop. Shipped customers can't, so the policy page needs a rule for them. A common one: the customer emails a photo within 48 hours of delivery, and you send a replacement or a refund.

3. Local Delivery and Pickup

Quick update: Nash already sends delivery orders to drivers automatically, so nothing to change there. You'll mark delivery orders fulfilled yourself, because Nash's version marks them fulfilled the moment they're placed, before a driver has them. That keeps your unfulfilled list accurate.

Customers see this at checkout, like "Usually ready in 2 hours."

This goes in their "ready for pickup" email.

4. Plant Finder Quiz Wording

Two quiz answers still use my placeholder text. Write them the way you'd say it, or leave blank to keep them.

Currently: "I've kept a few plants happy for a while."

Currently: "Near a bright window with lots of daylight."

5. Loyalty Points (Joy)

Could you ask Joy or the conversion company these before anything gets sent? Paste in what they say.

About 85% of your loyalty members only have a phone number on file, no email. If Joy can only match by email, those customers' points won't carry over.

It's just phone numbers and point balances. Do they need names and emails added?

Points per dollar and what the rewards are, so customers get the same deal they're used to.

Points keep changing until we switch from Square, so right at launch probably makes sense. Ask what they recommend.

I want to make sure we're not doubling up. Feel free to cc me on anything with them.

6. A Few Plants I Need Your Help With

I couldn't confirm care info for these, so they don't show up in the Plant Finder or the filters yet. I'll handle the pet-safety research.

Two different plants go by "Pickle Plant," and they need different care.

7. Old Links to Your Square Site

When the new site goes live, old Square page addresses (like theaplantco.com/product/...) stop working. I'm forwarding them to the right new pages, but I can only find the links on the website itself. Anything posted or printed somewhere else, I need you to point me to.

Please check each of these. Copy the exact link it uses and paste it below with where it lives. Include links that only go to the homepage too.

  • Google Business Profile: the Website link, plus any Order, Products or Appointment links
  • Instagram: the link in your bio, and Linktree (or similar) if you use one
  • Facebook: the Website button on your page, and any pinned posts with links
  • Other listings: Yelp, Nextdoor, Apple Maps, local directories, press articles
  • Email: your email signature and any newsletter templates
  • Printed QR codes: flyers, business cards, care cards, plant tags, signs in the shop
  • Links you text or email customers regularly (gift cards, a specific product, etc.)

For anything printed with a QR code, just text me a photo of it. I'll scan it and see where it goes.

8. Loose Ends

I need current gift card balances to load into the new site before launch.

Joe reads every response personally.
